Concerning her siblings and parents, the information is scarce. Her father comes from the Filipino heritage, while her mother is Mexican. Erin also has a younger sister, Erica Lim. Rubi Rose Benton is an American Eritrean who was born and raised in Lexington. Her father was John Benton a half African American and a half Japanese lawyer. Her mother is Eritrean and was born Ethiopia. The father she adopted is, so her biological paternal maternal grandmother is Japanese. Scarlette is her older sister and Coral is the younger sibling. She lived for a time in Geneva, Switzerland. Then she moved from Switzerland to Atlanta, Georgia in her senior year in high school. Georgia State University was where she studied politics. Her love for music grew Prince, Michael Jackson and Biggie. Marvin Gaye, Chaka, Marvin Gaye, etc. Her influences include Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Foxy Brown. Rose became famous as the principal model of hip-hop group Migos their music video for the track Bad and Boujee. In this period, Rose began to regularly appear on Twitch stream with East Coast hip hop commentator Jamaican DJ Akademiks.
